Whether you are building a small extension or working on a large office block it is most likely you will need some form of scaffolding.
Most of today’s scaffolding is made from aluminium or steel. These tubes are approx 6.3 m in length with a diameter of 48mm approx.
The working surface is made up of a treated wooden board (scaffold board). The average dimension of a scaffold board is 40mm deep x 225mm wide x 3.9m long
The fittings that hold the scaffold tubes together are called couplers. There are various different types: Right-angle couplers, putlog couplers and swivel couplers.
